Pickup and visits to our Moss Vale studio

Customers can now arrange to visit our Moss Vale studio, or pick up your order if you wish to skip shipping.

Weekdays and weekends are available.

Exact location details will be shared after making contact with Nina.

Sizing information

Sizes correspond to the child's age, with size 4 being suitable for a 4 year old and so on.

We include the chest and length measurements for every individual dress on each item’s webpage. Chest measurements are made from armpit to armpit. Length measurements are made from shoulder to hemline. The handmade nature of our dresses means the measurements will be subject to a tolerance of approx +/- 1cm. Smocking in itself is an inexact artform, and also provides an elasticity to the dress’ fit.

All dresses have a sash which can be drawn in at the waist to adjust the fit of the dress as your child grows.

Why are there limited sizes?

Dot & Mila dresses are hand-made in small runs and each style is unique. Only two dresses of each size are made in every style. The sizes that are displayed are the only ones available.

At the core of Dot & Mila is a mission to empower women and girls. We are an entirely female-run company, and a multi-generational company of mothers and daughters. Our clothes are made ethically and sustainably. Find out more about our ethics here.


Slight variation

Our dresses are handmade by seamstresses who work with great patience and care to create each garment. So unlike clothing made by the millions in factories, there can be slight differences in the smocking and embroidery between each dress.

Garment care

All dresses are 100% cotton. Given a little love, they will be worn for generations. Hand warm wash or gentle machine wash, hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Use a warm iron.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are simple – they come with a unique code that the recipient can enter at checkout to access the gifted amount. If their total order exceeds the value remaining on their gift card, they can pay the balance using standard payment methods. Likewise, if they only spend a portion of the total gift, they can use the remaining balance at a later date. Vouchers can be used for any item in our store. There are no additional processing fees. Gift vouchers never expire. Gift vouchers can be refunded, but not if they’re partially used.

At checkout, you can opt to send the voucher to your recipient’s inbox with a personalised message, or send it to your own inbox. At this stage we do not offer physical vouchers, but we suggest printing out the email, popping it in a card and wrapping it up – what a gorgeous present for someone special!

Gift-giving and packaging

Our dresses are beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and presented in a draw-string cotton bag in the same colour as the dress. They are ready to be received as a gift.


Shipping and delivery

Domestic

Dot & Mila offers Australia Post Parcel Post for $15 and Australia Post Express Post for $25.

Express Post

Receive your order in 2-4 business days. This excludes weekends and public holidays. Deliveries via Australia Post are only made on business days, and not on weekends or public holidays.

Delivered with Safe Drop 

Orders will be left in a safe place if there is no one at the delivery address to sign for the delivery. If the delivery cannot be left in safe place, a calling card will be left in your mailbox advising of the Australia Post location where you can collect your delivery.

You can request to change your delivery method for your parcel with Australia Post via their website, once tracking details for your order are available.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances, (e.g. strikes, floods etc).

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders are sourced and dispatched nationwide. We aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 business days after purchase.

All domestic orders are dispatched via Australia Standard Parcel Post. Please note, shipping times are in addition to dispatch times. For further information please refer to the Aus Post link provided; http://auspost.com.au/track/track.html days for regional areas.

Order tracking

To track your order, please login to your account or check the shipping confirmation email and visit the tracking URL link made available to you.

Delivery address

Dot & Mila recommends customers provide a secure delivery address, for example your place of employment. Dot & Mila is not responsible for lost/stolen parcels.

International

Yes, Dot & Mila ships internationally!

For all New Zealand orders we charge a flat rate of $18.20 AUD.

For all other countries we charge a flat rate of $36 AUD.

If you are outside the USA or UK and can’t see your country in the drop down menu at checkout, please contact us directly to arrange postage.

Sale terms and conditions

During sales, prices are as marked. No returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

Refunds

Sale items cannot be returned. All sales are final.

We hope you love everything that you order from us, but if something isn’t quite right you have 14 days from the day you receive your parcel to return the item to us.

Items can be returned for an online credit, an exchange where product is available or a full refund of the item(s) excluding shipping costs.

To obtain a refund items must be unwashed, unworn and unused in their original condition.

Exchanges

Sale items cannot be exchanged. All sales are final.

If you require an exchange, please note that exchanges are subject to availability. If your item is not available at the time of processing your exchange, you will receive a refund or online credit. We cannot pre-order or hold stock.

To obtain an exchange items must be unwashed, unworn and unused in their original condition.
