Luna dress
The divine Luna dress is the perfect dress for special family celebrations. In 100% premium cotton, the Luna features meticulously hand-woven beeralu lace trimming, Peter Pan collar hand-embroidered with grub roses, butterfly sleeves, pleated bodice and a full skirt drawn in at the waist with a looped sash. The dress is fully lined with muslin and has a in-built petticoat. The Luna dress fastens with an invisible zip at the back. Each dress comes with a complimentary bow for her hair.
About beeralu lace
Beeralu, an age-old Sri Lankan craft, is a meticulous lace-making technique known for its delicate and intricate designs. Artisans, often women from fishing communities, skilfully weave fine threads into exquisite patterns, primarily used in clothing and home furnishings. The craft's origins trace back to Dutch colonial influence, but it has evolved into a unique Sri Lankan tradition. Beeralu lacework not only showcases the country's rich cultural heritage but also demonstrates the enduring artistry of Sri Lankan craftsmanship, passed down through generations.

Chest measurements are made from armpit to armpit. Length measurements are made from shoulder to hemline. The handmade nature of our dresses means the measurements will be subject to a tolerance of approx +/- 1cm. Smocking in itself is an inexact artform, and also provides an elasticity to the dress’ fit.
