Chest measurements are made from armpit to armpit. Length measurements are made from shoulder to hemline. The handmade nature of our dresses means the measurements will be subject to a tolerance of approx +/- 1cm. Smocking in itself is an inexact artform, and also provides an elasticity to the dress’ fit.

100% cotton with inbuilt muslin petticoat. Set of three pieces: smocked dress, ruffle bloomers and a headband or bow depending on the size.
Given a little love, your dress will be worn for generations. Gentle machine wash with similar colours, hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Use a warm iron.

Dot & Mila dresses and blouses are handmade by women dressmakers working from their own homes in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We use 100% cotton fabric only, and are zero waste – cut-offs are minimised and used elsewhere wherever possible.
